Traditional Handmade Ceramics Made in England
Hague Ceramics is an independent family-run pottery business in Staffordshire
All ceramics are handcrafted from start to finish in our Staffordshire workshop, using locally sourced British materials.
We’ve been making pottery since 1893. It’s a craft passed down through generations, and we still create each piece the way we always have—by hand, with no shortcuts.
Our handmade ceramics are high-quality, built to last and designed to be enjoyed everyday.

About Hague Ceramics
Malcolm Hague, founder of Hague Ceramics, has dedicated over 50 years to the ceramic industry. Ceramics have always been at the heart of his life, and he has witnessed the decline of an industry he loves, a craft that has been part of his family’s story since 1893.
The industry is now dominated by items manufactured quickly, cheaply, and often without concern for quality or longevity. Malcolm sees this as a loss of skill and artistry.
At his production studio in Staffordshire, he creates high-quality, handmade ceramics, with design and attention to detail at the core. By focusing on small-batches using traditional methods and locally-sourced materials, he ensures that his handmade ceramics stand apart from those that are factory-made overseas.
His work offers beauty, durability, and meaning, embodying both his inspiration and his mission to preserve and celebrate British ceramics.
